She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 1989, MBA degree in 2012 , currently pursuing a Master in online journalism and Mass Communication , and and has more than 15 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism. She contributed to the business news service Zawya, a Thomson Reuters Company with a focus on the Middle East. She also worked as a reporter for the BBC World Service and the Associated Press before migrating to the USA in 2000.  In 2007, Alhusini established the US Arab Radio, a national radio program, which broadcasts in Arabic and English. Through this initiative, she communicates with a vast audience based in the United States and Canada, and presents a variety of political, economic, and social programs on a daily basis. As the host of three US Arab Radio programs, Alhusini continues to interview national and international  politics leaders as well as business and academic guests, with a mandate to unify Arab and American communities and their diverse audiences. Alhusini was the recipient of the Arab American Business Woman Award of the year 2015 from Arab American Women’s Business Council.
